A-22A Raider (LOSA) Overview: A-22A Raider or LOSA (Low Observable Strike Aircraft) is a stealthy land or carrier based attack aircraft. It is tail-less design powered by twin afterburning turbofans and a two-man crew. It is designed for both high and low altitude penetration of enemy air space to provide CAS, Wild Weasel, and rapid strike missions carrying a variety of air-to-surface munitions. The basic design of the Raider allows for excellent maneuverability at all airspeeds, and provides excellent low speed handling, such as an approach to an aircraft carrier.
